DAO Emerging Technologies is Hiring a Shipping & Receiving Clerk Near VIRGINIA BEACH, VA
DAO Group is currently looking for a highly motivated, organized, and energetic Part-time Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our growing Virginia Beach team. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving and scheduling/packing outgoing shipments, using internal systems for job tracking and inventory management, and work closely with the Depot Manager to assist with maintaining efficient Depot operations.
Work schedule is Monday - Friday, 11am - 5pm, 6 hour shifts, 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Use shipping system to label and ship packages
- Use internal system to track incoming and outgoing shipments
- Unpack, verify, and record incoming products
- Arrange appropriate transportation of products
- Conduct physical inventories and assist with keeping storage areas organized
- Maintain tidy and organized work environment
- Assist customers with shipping inquiries and communicate tracking information
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or other related fields preferred
- High school degree or equivalent
- Ability to handle physical workload with ability to lift up to 75lbs and spend long periods of time standing
- Experience and fluency in using Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience using FedEx Shipping system preferred
